MACTE (Maine Administrators of Career and Technical Education) is hiring a temporary, part-time Interim Administrative Coordinator for a 6-12-month period. This role will focus on managing key administrative tasks, supporting communications, and coordinating events. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Career and Technical Education, have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, be well organized and have experience in developing communications using a number of formats to reach a variety of stakeholders.


Job Description


The Interim Administrative Coordinator will:


● Draft letters, official testimony, and other public-facing communications.


● Manage and update MACTE’s website and social media platforms.


● Coordinate monthly meetings and assist with planning major events (e.g., Fall Conference, Student of the Year Celebration and the Annual CTE Summer Event).


● Serve as a central point of contact for the 27 CTE schools, ensuring timely and consistent communication.


● Support the Board and committees by preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation.


Position Details


● Duration: Up to 12 months (with the option to extend as needed)


● Hours: 20 hours per week


● Position Type: Contract or temporary hire (1099 or payroll employee)


● Work Location: Primarily remote with occasional in-person support for events and meetings


Compensation


$25 to $40 an hour based on experience and skill set.


MACTE will provide the following:


● Software and Subscription Fees as needed: Google Suite, Canva, Mailchimp)


● Travel and Mileage for Events


● Printing and Office Supplies as needed


● Cell Phone for MACTE related business
