This year PIRCTC is proud to announce that Matthew McKenna  has been chosen as student of the year.  Matthew has worked on many class and community projects during his time in the Building Trades program.  He worked many days on designing and creating a new floor pattern in the Building Trades new finishing room.

Region Two Students Tour WCCC

The Culinary Arts and Welding students at Region Two visited the Culinary Arts and Welding programs at Washington County Community College, in Calais, on March 20th to explore post-secondary opportunities in their chosen trades. The trip was delayed, earlier in the year, due to weather but the first day of spring turned out to be a great day to make the two hour trip.

STRIVE AM Kyle York Kyle's instructor, Matthew Littlefield, says that Kyle consistently does well.  He goes above and beyond each day.  He never complains when asked to do tasks he prefers not to do.  He is a good role model for his classmates.  Kyle attends Searsport District High School and is the son of Travis and Monica York of Searsport.

Natural Resources Mgmt. Andrew Asselin Andrew's instructor, Patrice Janssen, says that Andrew works very hard in class every day.  He is always on task and willing to do any job asked of him.  He is also very helpful with other students in class.  He has mastered many skills and has done very well in his dual enrollment course for the first semester.  Andrew is the son of Suzette and David Wight of Morrill.

Horticulture/Landscaping Jayna Rumney Jayna's instructor, Patrice Janssen, says that Jayna works hard in class every day.  She is always willing to do whatever job is asked of her.  She has a positive attitude and gets along well with her peers.  She has developed good skills in floral design and plant care.  Jayne attends Mount View High School and is the daughter of Hazel and Ernest Rumney of Thorndike.
