BHS junior Madison Perry interviewed with Bellwether Design Technologies and was selected for an Engineering internship this summer. Bellwether is located here in Biddeford and designs multi-story glass curtain systems, vestibules, bridges, and more; as shown here at MIT's Kresge Auditorium:http://bellwetherdesigntech.com/proj…/mit-kresge-auditorium/

Students can sign up now through their school counselor to participate in Social Service course. This is a new one (1) year course of study which does not require any prior participation. The class is open to seniors; please note: students must turn 18 before they can participate in certification testing.

A major thank you to Maine Medical Center and staff for hosting three of our medical students that are interested in nursing careers for a day long job shadow. The placements were on the Barbara Bush Pediatric and 5th Floor Richard's Wing following nursing professionals in their roles for the day.

BHS Junior, Max Mourmouras, Uses Skills at Local Company

BHS junior Max Mourmouras is working with Duralife to develop mounting hardware for their "Railways" Pre-Drilled Cable Ready Railing Component systems. Splitting his time between conferencing with the design department at Duralife and developing solid models using Autocad here at BRCOT Engineering, Max has already printing out plastic prototypes using our Dimension SST 768 3-dimensional printer. The project will culminate in the development of part designs that can be used in manufacturing.

Nick Grover - Auto Collision

Nick has really found his place during the 4th quarter this year and has been a model student. He has near perfect attendance and comes ready to work every day. Lake Region Vocational Center students were mentors to students at Songo Locks Elementary School during the year as they explored careers associated with the center's programs. Students used carpentry tools to build coat racks and stools, listened to their heartbeats with stethoscopes, dusted and examined their fingerprints, sanded and polished automobile head-lamps, learned how small engines function, and decorated cakes and made breakfast sandwiches.
